Epandage(drainage)

 There are two types of epandage:-

1)  Epandage that is used to filter untreated water.eg after a septic tank

            a)  Epandage trenches

            b)  Bed of epandage

2)  Epandage may be necessary to disperse water after being treated.eg after a waste water treatment system.  

The area of epandage for dispertion is usually a lot smaller than epandage used for treatment. The size can vary due to the permeability of the soil at the site. This is determined by an ''Etude de Sol'' study of the soil being performed by a Bureau d'Etude (geological study technician).
